Though the program is called Buffalo Youth Wrestling "B.Y.W.", let it be know this team is made up of local children from several area schools. We have the previledge of training kids who are from Buffalo, Ceredo, Kellogg, Kenova, Lavalette and Prichard elementary schools. I have said it for many years, Wayne County has some of the finest athletes in West Virginia. Our goal is to teach the basic fundimentals of this sport and prepare our wrestlers for the next level. It is my opinion one must become fundimentally sound in the basics of any sport, before they can become a champion. We are the feeder program for Spring Valley High School. With the addition of this program ( Est. 2008 ) we hope to build on their success. I want to express to the parents of this team that my intensions are not self centered, where I place myself or any coach above the kids in this program. In saying so ... I hope to build an open coach to parent relationship with each of you while watching your child gain knowledge, experience and the skills needed in hopes of becoming a future State Champion.
